City seeks volunteers for health and wellness commission

New group aims to make Morgantown healthier

The Morgantown City Council is trying hard to make Morgantown a healthier place to live. They're looking for help, especially from health professionals, educators, and people enthusiastic about healthy living.

The City Council will be appointing nine people to the newly formed Health and Wellness Commission. Seven of those people will be from the general public. Commission members must live or work in the city. (The Health Sciences Center and J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital are within city limits.)

Please indicate your interest by filling out the volunteer application. You also may email your resume and an explanation of your interest to City Council member Ryan Wallace at rwallace@morgantownwv.gov or call the City Clerk at (304) 284-7434.
