WVU Injury Control Research Center presents awards for excellence in teaching and research

Steven Wheeler, Ph.D., and Brandon Lucke-Wold have been recognized by the WVU Injury Control Research Center (ICRC) for excellence in teaching and research in the fields of injury and/or violence prevention.

Dr. Wheeler, associate professor of Occupational Therapy, received the ICRC Excellence in Faculty Teaching Award. Dr. Wheeler is an expert in the fields of traumatic brain injury and occupational therapy and who provides education to professionals, clients, caregivers and families.

Brandon Lucke-Wold, M.D./Ph.D. student in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy, was awarded both the ICRC Outstanding Student Research Award and the ICRC Student Travel Award. Mr. Lucke-Wold conducts research targeting concussions in athletes and soldiers.
