DON’T LET A HOT DATE TURN INTO A DUE DATE
30 to 45-minute update covering what’s new in contraception and what’s been around since the 1800's. Focuses on effectiveness, availability, and deciding what’s right for you.

GERMS OF ENDEARMENT
30 to 45-minute visual depiction of chlamydia, genital warts, herpes, gonorrhea, and more. Emphasizes prevention, symptoms, transmission. Viewer discretion advised.

HIV: ARE YOU POSITIVE YOU’RE NEGATIVE?
45-minute review emphasizing prevention, testing, resources, and compassion. When desired and if available, may include personal account from HIV-infected and affected individuals.

SEX CAN WAIT: VIEWS ON ABSTINENCE
30 to 45-minute discussion emphasizing reasons people postpone sexual activity. Asks the questions “What is secondary virginity?” “Was it sex if . . . ?” and more. Audience contributes reasons and strategies for waiting.

SEX, LIES, CONDOMS AND THE TRUTH
45-minute presentation emphasizing decision-making, facts about sexually transmitted infections, safer sex products, and communication.

SEX-TAC-TOE
30 to 45-minute game format focusing on sexual knowledge. Includes action and role play categories.

SEXUAL JEOPARDY
30 to 45-minute fast-paced version of Jeopardy! based on the format of the TV game show. Emphasizes both serious and humorous miture of sexual health information. Test your knowledge of condoms, body parts, “baby blockers,” “sex-pectations”, slang, and more.

SEXUAL ASSAULT 101
General information on sexual assault. The focus is on laws, statistics, and myths surrounding sexual assault. Interactive exercises are used (depending upon the size of the group) to foster discussion and talk about opinions relating to sexual assault.

JUST FOR WOMEN
This presentation is geared toward women who may want to go into greater depth about certain sexual assault topics. The focus includes laws, statistics, prevention, what to do in the aftermath of a sexual assault, hospital procedures, the criminal justice system, and process from being a victim to becoming a survivor. This program is frank and can be emotional.

JUST FOR MEN
This program is designed to address the specific concerns that men have about sexual assault. Topics include laws, statistics, discussion and dispelling of myths, growing up male, communication issues and high-risk behaviors.

MENTORS IN VIOLENCE PREVENTION MVP
This is an interactive group that informs students about rape and sexual assault through educational interaction between students and audience members. The purpose of this program is to dispel rape myths, to examine sex role stereotypes, to encourage responsible bystanders, to provide facts on sexual assault and to advise a victim of his or her options.

OTHER TOPICS
Additional topics that can be the focus of a presentation or included in other presentations include:

Laws, facts, statistics, myths about sexual assault, the criminal justice system, the judicial process, University Policy on sexual assault (which can be found in The Mountie), communication skills, alcohol and drugs, including Rohypnol and other “date rape drugs” and how to interact with a sexual assault survivor.

Progam geared to provide alternatives to engaging in risky behavior and educate on the consequences of risk taking.
