Warning Signs of a drinking problem

  • Do you need a drink to get going or to get motivated?
  • Do you use alcohol to cope with problems or difficult situations?
  • Are you uncomfortable when alcohol is not available?
  • Have you ever done poorly on your exam or assignment because of your drinking?
  • Have you ever missed classes because of your alcohol consumption?
  • Have you been in trouble with the campus police or school authorities because of your drinking?
  • Do you drive while drunk?
  • Do you drink alone?
  • Do you drink to get drunk?
  • Have you ever been involved in fights with your friends or family while you were drunk?
  • Do you think about drinking a lot?
