  • At least 90 semester credit hours must be completed at a U.S. or Canadian college or university prior to submission of AADSAS application.
  • Grade Point Average (GPA)

  • Performance improvement/consistency
  • Course load

Dental Admissions Test (DAT

  • Administered on computer atPrometric Test Centers
  • Scores should be submitted to the Admissions Committee by November 1st of the year prior to the applicant’s anticipated admission.

Recommendation Letters

  • Pre-Professional Committee (if available)

OR

  • One from each of the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, & Physics)
  • Non-science majors: Two recommendations from instructors in major field AND one from either a biology, chemistry or physics instructor.

Interview

  • Group introduction session is followed by a personal interview with two or more committee members.

Experience

  • Observation or work in dental setting
  • Participation in pre-dental club or society
  • Volunteer service
  • Manual dexterity
  • Life experiences

Priority consideration is given to qualified West Virginia residents.

Early application is strongly recommended. AADSAS application is available online in June atwww.adea.org. Interviews begin in the fall semester and successful applicants are notified of acceptance beginning December 1st. Criminal background screening and clearance are required prior to enrollment.
