Class of 1962

We are sorry to report the passing of RAYMOND HAMDEN in May 2007.  Dr. Hamden was in practice in Roanoke, VA.

Class of 1966

STEPHEN BIRD of Parkersburg, WV passed away in May 2008.

KENNETH ALBINDER has been practicing orthodontics since 1972 in Virginia Beach, VA.  He has five children and five grandchildren.  His hobbies are golf and bow hunting.

Class of 1969

EDWARD THORNBLADE retired in April 2008.  He and Karen moved to a lakeside home in Fairfield Glade, TN.  He says every day of retirement is full of delightful surprises.

Class of 1972

DAVID SHEINKOPF is now a half time attending for the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery general practice and pediatric dental residency programs at North Bronx Health Network / Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.  He maintains his private oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in New York, NY 2 days a week.

Class of 1974

THOMAS LILLY served as a dentist at Sather Air Base in Baghdad, Iraq from May 2008 through September 2008.  He is in his 25th year serving with the 167th ANG Medical Group from Martinsburg, WV

Class of 1975

DICK DuBOIS is presently a part time clinic instructor at LSU Dental School.  Oldest son, Kenneth, is beginning his senior year at LSU Dental School.  Daughter, Anne, is beginning her senior year in Dental Hygiene.

Class of 1976

DAVID PETRIE has graduated the last kid, his son, from medical school.  David is now retired.  Hunting, fishing, and golfing are the new full time occupations.

Class of 1988

JOSEPH SKOFF traveled to Lhokha, Tibet to study the art of Vajrasattva with the Panchen Lama of the Samye Monastery.  Vajrasattva is the Tibetan discipline of pain management through meditation.

Class of 1995

KARRY MEYERS ROGUS (DH ’95, DDS ’01) and spouse TYLER ROGUS (DDS ’97) announce the birth of son William George on March 16, 2008.  He joins his sister Avery Elizabeth who was born in November 2005.  Karry and Tyler both practice full time in the Akron, OH area.

BENSON YBANEZ and spouse TERESA CONLEY (DDS ’94) have two children, Ethan 6 years and Breck 3 years.  Benson and Teresa practice in Swansboro, NC.

Class of 1999

CHIP BUTLER, Jr. recently received the mayoral and town council award for volunteering dental services both locally and internationally.  Chip is in practice in Liberty, NC.

JENNIFER McBEE (DH ’95 DDS ’99) is practicing 3 days per week in Pittsburgh, PA as an associate.  Daughter Anna Grace was born in April 2008 joining sons Joey 5 yrs, Colin 4 years, and Quentin 1 ½ years.  Husband Billy is in a gynecology oncology fellowship program at VAMC Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where the family resides.

Class of 2002

MINDY MAYNARD graduated from a 2 year Dental Anesthesia residency in 2006.  She is now in private practice in Alexandria, VA.  Mindy married David Husson from Charleston, WV on May 17, 2008.  They reside in Arlington, VA.

JENNIFER BURBRIDGE HOWELL and husband Stephen (WVU MD 2003) had a son, Adam in January 2008.  He joins his sister Emma Brooke age 3.  The family lives in Morgantown, WV.

BILLY REYNOLDS and wife Crystal have an 18 month old daughter Kingsley Katherine, and 5 ½ year old Leukemia survivor daughter Eden Elise.  In August 2008, Eden will have finished a 26 month chemo treatment and will start kindergarten.  Billy continues in his private practice in Cross Lanes, WV. 

AMY GERBER SMITH and husband Rich welcomed their new baby girl, Audrey, on May 29, 2008.  Amy is an orthodontist practicing in Parkersburg, WV.

Class of 2003

MICHAEL LOFTIS, wife Angel, and daughter Olivia just moved back from Long Island, NY and are starting his Endodontic office in Parkersburg, WV.

Class of 2004

NICOLE BLANC (DH ’04) and RYAN BLANC (DDS ’04) welcomed their daughter, Ella Rose in February 2008.  They live in Fairview, PA.

JOSH DOLIN and wife Dani (Pharmacy ’03) welcomed their son, Reed Andrew, into the world on May 29, 2008.  Waiting at home is big sister, Lily Sue,
