Robert Richardson, DDS Baker, WV Hello, I am Robert Richardson and I graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1963. My office is the E.A. Hawse Health Center and we are located at 17978 State Route 55, Baker WV. The office phone number is (304) 897-5915 ext 266 or 267. We are a federally funded community health center with medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health and school based health services employing 55 staff members. There are 7 operatories plus a dental lab, reception, waiting, kitchen etc. There are 7 wall mounted and 1 panoramic x ray equipment. We practice sit-down dentistry and can accommodate left-handed students. There are 2 hygienists and 3 assistants and all have over 10 years experience. We work 5 days a week, 10 hours a day with 40 hour work schedule per provider. We are located in Hardy County with a population of 13,500. The health center has 7,500 patients generating 30,000 visits per year. We serve a large geographic area including Virginia. This practice is quite comprehensive in that we do a lot of different procedures for patients who are affluent self pay, commercial insurance, sliding-fee, Medicaid and physically and mentally challenged. We are a safety net provider and in many cases, the only option for many of our patients. To reach E.A. Hawse Health Center, take I68 E to Cumberland, MD. Go south on US Route 220 to Moorefield, then east on Corridor G/WV RT 55 to Baker. Take the Baker exit, turn left at bottom of the ramp. The health center is ¼ mile on the right. The distance is 125-135 miles and should take about 2 hours. |
