Robert W. Graves BS, RPh, DDS, ABOMS is the immediate past Chairman of the Department of OMS who retired in 2007. He is now part time faculty and professor emeritus of OMS. He is involved in dental student education as well as the post graduate programs.

 

 

Bryan D. Weaver DDS, MD, ABOMS is interim Chairman of the Department of OMS. He is a graduate of Morris Harvey College, and WVU School of Dentistry. His residency in OMS and Medical Degrees were earned at WVU as well. Dr. Weaver is the Director of resident education since 1996 and has maintained the full accreditation status since then. He has authored many articles for the literature and is involved in research. He sees patients by referral and can be contacted by calling the clinic at 304-293-2841.

 

Lester Bakos, DDS is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and WVU School of Dentistry. He completed his OMS residency at WVU. He is a tenured Professor of OMS. Dr. Bakos is on the medical staff of the WVU Athletic Department and is involved in sports trauma management. He is involved with dental student education and patient care. Jerry Nieusma, DDS, ABOMS is a graduate of Hope College and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He completed his internship and residency in OMS while on active duty in the Navy. He retired from the Navay in 1991 and joined the faculty here at WVU. He is currently Professor of OMS and teaches CPR and ATLS for the Health Sciences Center. He has published articles, directed clinical studies, and mentored research and table clinic projects. He is involved with OMS resident education as well as GPR's and dental students. Dr. Nieusma sees patients by referral and can be contact in the clinic at 304-293-2841.

 

William Marshall, BS, Pharm.D. DDS is the director of Hospital Dentistry and former director of the General Practice Residency Program. He has been a member of the faculty of the Dental School since 1985. He is a graduate of WVU and obtained his Doctorate in Pharmacology from Mercer School of Pharmacy. He completed a General Practice Residency at WVU before joining the faculty. Dr. Marshall provides medically necessary dental care to medically, mentally, and pharmacologically compromised adult and pediatric patients utilizing a variety of techniques: oral and intravenous conscious sedation as well as performing dental rehabilitations in the operating room under general anesthesia. He has been actively involved with the Bone Marrow Transplant service of Ruby Memorial Hospital. Dr. Marshall is also actively involved in the education of dental students as well as residents. He sees patients on a referral basis and can be contacted by calling the clinic at 304-293-6208.
