Resident Clinic Information
The Orthodontic Clinic is located within the School of Dentistry on the first floor of the Health Sciences Center. Patients are treated by orthodontic residents under the close supervision of full-time or part-time faculty members. The orthodontic program at WVU is a 34 month program and is accredited by the American Dental Association. Orthodontic residents are general dentists (D.D.S. or D.M.D.) that are in training to become specialists. Our Orthodontic faculty members are dentists (D.D.S. or D.M.D.) who have completed 2-3 years of specialty training in an accredited orthodontic residency program. Our clinic accommodates a full range of orthodontic patients, including children, adolescents, adults and patients with craniofacial anomalies. We offer a variety of treatment, removable and fixed functional appliances, Invisalign, esthetic orthodontic brackets (clear braces), surgical orthodontics, and retainer replacement. |
