Dr. Peter Ngan D.M.D.

| Dr. Peter Ngan is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics at West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He is also head of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at WVU. Dr. Ngan holds a dental degree from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and Certificates in Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Hospital Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Dentistry for Children, Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Ngan’s focus is in the early treatment of dental and skeletal malocclusions. His research interests include growth and development, biology of tooth movement, dentofacial orthopedics, orthodontic appliance therapy, oral implantology and orthodontic bonding systems. |

Dr. Chris A. Martin D.D.S. M.S.

| Dr. Chris Martin holds a dental degree and a Master of Science in Orthodontics from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He was in private practice both in West Virginia and Ohio until he accepted a full-time tenure tract position as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Director at the WVU Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Martin is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, West Virginia Dental Association, and West Virginia Association of Orthodontists and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Martin’s research interest is the Crown Herbst Appliance.Dr. Chris Martin holds a dental degree and a Master of Science in Orthodontics from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. |

| Dr. Anissa Anderson holds a D.D.S. and an M.S. in Orthodontics from West Virginia University. She maintains a private practice in New Martinsville, WV. Dr. Anderson is a clinical instructor, teaches the Growth and Development course, and holds diagnosis seminars. |

Dr. Joseph J. Bonello D.D.S. M.S.

| Dr. J.J. Bonello holds both a B.S. and a D.D.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He also received his M.S. degree in Orthodontics from Pitt. Dr. Bonello is retired from his private practice in Pittsburg, PA, where he practiced straight-wire (Andrews) orthodontics. Br. Bonello is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and was the first orthodontist to pass the board using the straight wire appliance. Dr. Bonello is a clinical instructor and holds a weekly diagnosis seminar. |

Dr. John H. Dempsey D.D.S. M.S.

| Dr. John Dempsey holds an A.B. degree from West Virginia University and a D.D.S from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He received his M.S. in Orthodontics from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Dr. Dempsey is retired from his private practices in Morgantown, Cheat Lake and Kingwood, WV. He teaches both the Orthodontic Technique course and the Cephalometrics course and is also a clinical instructor. |

Dr. Jeffrey L. Gilmore D.D.S. M.S.

| Dr. Jeff Gilmore received his B.S., D.D.S., and M.S. in Orthodontics, all from Ohio State University. He maintains a private practice in Marietta, OH. Dr. Gilmore is a past president of both the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists and the Ohio Association of Orthodontists. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr Gilmore is a clinical instructor and teaches the MBT Versatile appliance system and treatment philosophy. He also emphasizes the treatment of temporomandibular disorders. |

| Dr. Kerry Kirsch holds a B.S. in Biology from Saint Francis College and a D.D.S. from West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He also received his M.S. in Orthodontics from West Virginia University. Dr. Kirsch maintains a private practice in Ebensburg, PA and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Kirsch is a clinical instructor and teaches a seminar on practice management. Dr. Kirsch also emphasizes the treatment of temporomandibular disorders. |

| Dr. Tim Tremont holds a B.S. and D.D.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He received his M.S. in Orthodontics from the University of Buffalo in 1980. Dr. Tremont maintains a private practice in White Oak, PA and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He teaches the Six Elements diagnosis and treatment philosophy created by Dr. Larry Andrews. Dr. Tremont has a special interest in orthognathic surgery and has invented a device to assist surgeons in accurately positioning the maxilla during surgery. |

Dr. Robert H. Hornbrook, DDS, MSD
|
| Dr. Robert H. Hornbrook is the facilitator of a series of seminars with the Orthodontic graduate students regarding the interrelationship of Periodontics and Orthodontics. He received his DDS degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry and his MSD degree and specialty certificate in Periodontics from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hornbrook is Chair of the Department of Periodontics and Division of Dental Hygiene, and also is the Interim Associate Dean for Clinical Education and Patient Care at the WVU School of Dentistry. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, Fellow of the American College of Dentists and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology. |

Dr. Mark W. Richards, DDS, MEd, FACP |
| Dr. Richards received his DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and his Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics from the National Naval Dental Center, Bethesda, MD. He earned a Masters(MEd) degree in higher education at The George Washington University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontics and past Section Editor for the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Richards was Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry at WVU for 8 years and is currently the Director of Graduate Prosthodontics at WVU. He is also the Director of Pre-doctoral and Post-doctoral Implantology and teaches dental implants, occlusion and TMD to the Orthodontic residents. |

| Dr. Fidler received her Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology and Biology from Salem College and her PhD in Human Anatomy at the University of Iowa. She is a supporting faculty in the Department of Orthodontics, West Virginia University School of Dentistry. |

Dr. Richard Crout, DDS, MS, PhD |
| Richard J. Crout received a BS, MS and DMD in Biology, Pharmacology and Dental Medicine respectively from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, he completed an Oral Surgery Internship followed by becoming the Assistant Director of the program and Clinical Instructor in Pharmacology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine from 1974-1980. During this time he also received an NIH fellowship resulting in a PhD in Pharmacology and a Certificate in Periodontics. Following graduation in 1980, he accepted a joint position as Associate Professor in Periodontics at the School of Dentistry and Adjunct Associate Professor in Pharmacology at the School of Medicine both at West Virginia University. Dr. Crout is currently Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Periodontics in the School of Dentistry and Professor of Biochemistry in the School of Medicine at West Virginia University. Dr. Crout holds three patents, has over 150 abstracts and archival manuscripts and has been invited to lecture nationally and internationally. |

Dr. Elliot R. Shulman, DDS, MS |
| Dr. Elliot Shulman received his DDS degree from Loma Linda University and his MS in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of North Carolina. He is Associate Professor and Interim Director of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a past Trustee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and current Clinical Examination Consultant for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. His research interests include pulpal therapy, fluorides and epidemiology. |

Dr. Thomas Razmus, DDS, MS |
| Dr. Razmus received the DDS degree from the University of Michigan and a certificate and MS degree in Dental Diagnostic Science (Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology) from the University of Texas, Health Science Center at San Antonio. He was on the faculty of Indiana University School of Dentistry for six years and relocated to West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1993. He has been a tenured professor since 1999, and Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Science since 2001. He has co-authored two radiology textbooks. Dr. Razmus became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 1990. He has been a member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology since 1983 and served as President from 1999-2000. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations, Dental Hygiene Component B Test Construction Committee, and serves as a Director on the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. |
