Hello, I am Jon Paul Kardos and I graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1995. I have been with the Harts Health Care Center since 2001. Prior to this I was with the Logan Dental Clinic from 1996-2001 and the CAMC Dental Center from 1995-1996. The Harts Health Center is located at 22 Fleming Drive, Harts, WV 25524 and the phone number is (304)855-4595. The office is a rural clinic with a brand new building constructed in May 2002. We have 4 operatories: lab/sterilization, darkroom, Dr's office, pan area; assistants office and a compressor/vacuum room. The equipment is less than 4 years old. We use bisecting angle technique or XCP's mostly. The hygienist prefers using bite tabs only. We are located 1 hour from Charleston or 45-minutes from Huntington. Our employees are very nice and we see a wide variety of treatment needs. There are 3assistants, 1 full-time hygienist, 1part-time hygienists. All are fully capable of doing all tasks. Harts is a very small town with a heavy population due to patients from surrounding countries (sliding scale fee program). The only other dentists nearby are in Chapmanville and 1 in West Hamlin. This is a very busy practice - several emergency patients also. My personal philosophy of practice is to try and run the practice similar to private practice. We do not refuse treatment to anyone and try to accommodate all emergencies. I like to do quadrant dentistry if possible (i.e. multiple fillings at one appointment in same quadrant). My assistants know exactly how I like to do specific restorations and are good to do all scheduling necessary. I try to teach students calmly without them worrying about coming down too hard on them. I'm very patient and will not expect too much of them, especially pertaining to speed of their work. To reach Harts Health Center, take I-79 S to Charleston. Take exit 58A (Oakwood Rd-US 119 South). Take Rt 119 South about 50 miles to Chapmanville exit. Take Rt 10 North about 15 miles to Harts. Cross railroad tracks, take an immediate left onto Fleming Drive clinic is on the right. The distance from Morgantown is 210 miles and should take about 4 hours. |
