2012 John W. Traubert White Coat Ceremony

Online Sponsor Form

The White Coat Ceremony which emphasizes scientific excellence and compassionate patient care is held at medical schools across the Nation.  At WVU, the John W. Traubert White Coat Ceremony is especially designed to help second-year students reaffirm their reasons for choosing medicine as their lives' work.

We invite you to our 2012 White Coat Ceremony, Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m., at the WVU Mountainlair.  Members of the Class of 2014 will receive their white coats at this Ceremony in the Lair Ballrooms on the second floor, followed by a reception on the first floor.

Whether you can attend or not, you can take a special part in this Ceremony by becoming a sponsor.  Your gift of $100 will help cover the cost of one student’s white coat, pin, and the reception.  You may choose more than one student if you wish.  We will place a card in the pocket of each student's white coat giving the name, address and information about his or her sponsor, along with your personal note.   It is our desire that this sponsorship will forge lifelong relationships between our graduates, young and old.  Sponsors will be recognized at the ceremony and on all printed materials.

If you have witnessed a White Coat Ceremony, or you are a graduate who has experienced our White Coat Ceremony, I am sure you will agree that this is a special moment in the lives of our students, and we invite you to be a part of it.
