Welcome to the Department of Pathology

Welcome to the West Virginia University Pathology Department. Our dedicated faculty provides superb clinical care to West Virginians. The translational pathology laboratory is turning today’s scientific discoveries into the diagnostic tests of tomorrow. Our educational programs are known for their creative and innovative approaches for training medical students, residents, and laboratory professionals. The department offers a four year combined AP/CP residency, fellowships in hematopathology and surgical pathology, a post-sophomore pathology fellowship, undergraduate programs in clinical laboratory sciences and histotechnology, and a graduate pathologist assistant program.
