Hematopathology Fellowship Program
This one year Hematopathology Fellowship training program is based on the philosophy of accurate diagnosis through the integration of morphology with advanced state-of-the-art diagnostic studies. Fellows initially receive focused training in these laboratory methods and subsequently focus on globally integrating these methodologies with a patient’s morphology and clinical history. The Program’s goal is to provide Fellows with clinically-oriented expertise in hematopathology through participation in these laboratories on a daily basis as the cases are initially assessed and ultimately diagnosed. The Program provides advanced training in the interpretation of blood, bone marrow aspirates/biopsies and lymph node biopsies, including the evaluation of enzyme cytochemistry, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics and molecular studies. In addition to a strong focus on clinical hematopathology, the Program provides the Fellow with exposure to scholarly clinical research.
