Patient History

A 46-year old male with a past medical history of hypertension complained of three months of increased slurring of speech, mild left sided weakness, occasional difficulty with balance, and episodes of confusion. A CT scan revealed a ring-enhancing lesion in the right frontal lobe with associated edema. An MRI was obtained and the patient was scheduled for resection. Representative MRI images, photomicrographs from the surgical specimen, and images of fluorescent in-situ hybridization studies are provided for review.
