He attended the University of Buffalo for two years and then came to WVU and received his MD degree in 1966.

After an internship at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, he served two years as a US Public Health Service Research Associate.

Dr. Krames completed a general surgery residency at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, and an Otolaryngology residency at the University of California at San Francisco.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Krames had a lifelong interest in art. In 1974, he established Krames Communications and began producing comic-book like educational works that are now reaching more than 40 million people.

His company publishes article on every topic in health from AIDS to stress.
