1952 July 25, Inaugural Meeting of the Association at The Greenbrier
1953 Constitution and By-laws adopted

1954 Association produced first newsletter
Life Memberships approved at $25
1956 Gideon S. Dodds Portrait purchased and dedicated
Gideon S. Dodds Lectureship in microscopic anatomy & embryology funded by Association
1957 October 5, Basic Sciences building dedicated
First woman elected to the Executive Council, Elizabeth Snaith, class of 1922
1958 Annual meeting moved to the Medical Center during commencement
1959 Annual Meeting moved to Morgantown on Football Weekend
Secretary-treasurer annual reimbursement for clerical duties - $100
Annual dues raised to $5
Dr. Van Liere announced his retirement as Dean
1960 October 8, dedication of the University Hospital
Life Memberships reinstated at $75
Established the E. J. Van Liere Loan Fund

Executive Council commissioned a portrait of Dean Sleeth to commemorate his retirement

Edith Watring hired as executive secretary
1972 Celebrated 20th anniversary of Association at Alumni Weekend

1975 Established the Clark K. Sleeth Scholarship Fund
1976-1978 Efforts directed toward increasing 33% membership rate
1979 September 9, Edward J. Van Liere died
1981 Investment with WVU Foundation began

1982 Class of 1972 pledged $2,350 for a memorial fund to honor two deceased classmates
1983 Dean Richard A. DeVaul introduced
Isabel Price made Secretary Emeritus
1984 First Distinguished Alumnus Award presented to Dr. Pat A. Tuckwiller
Lynda Nine introduced as new alumni director
1985 Hard hat construction tour of Ruby Memorial Hospital
Dedicated the Isabel E. Price Student Loan Fund - between 1971 and 1985 donated $56,750 to student loan and scholarships
With establishment of Development office, focus of Association redirected to programming
Hazel Ruby McQuain made first Honorary Member
1986 Celebrated 75th Anniversary of the School of Medicine
