I appreciate the opportunity to serve as president of the WVU School of Medicine Alumni Association, an organization dedicated to the success and wellbeing of this medical school. As a faculty member for the past 30 years, I especially appreciate the opportunity to work even closer with the many graduates I knew as students, and now call my colleagues.  

This medical school is tremendously strengthened by the outstanding commitment of our alumni and the many ways which you participate in life of the institution.  Your membership in this nationally recognized Alumni Association is one indication of your commitment and, as your president in 2007, I will work to further engage alumni in the future of the WVU School of Medicine.
