Department of Anesthesiology 2008 Volume 2, No. 3 The Annual Awards and Senior Recognition Banquet was held in the ballroom of the historic Hotel Morgan during late May. Of this year’s 5 graduating seniors 2 have entered specialty fellowships, 2 have remained as faculty at WVU, and 1 has entered private practice. Fellowship bound are Dr. Navid Farahmand who has entered a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Utah, and Dr. Lisa Hickey who has entered a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Both Dr. Hickey and Dr. Farahmand have expressed interest in returning to WVU following completion of their fellowships. Dr. Matt Ellison and Dr. Dave Marshall have joined the faculty of the WVU Department of Anesthesiology as Instructors. Dr. Ellison’s primary interest area is in Regional Anesthesia while Dr. Marshall has a strong interest in Cardiac Anesthesia. Dr. Philip Legg is practicing in a private group in Beckley, WV close to his and his wife’s families.
