Norman D. Ferrari III, M.D.

Norman D. Ferrari III, M.D., Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education, effective August 2006.

Dr. Ferrari currently serves as the associate dean for Student Services and Academic Progress and the Designated Institutional
Official (DIO) for GME.

Kimberly Horn, Ed.D.

Kimberly Horn, Ed.D., Associate Director of Population Health Research at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, effective November 2006.

Dr. Horn’s new position will focus on tobacco research and its role in lung and other cancers. She has developed the N-O-T (Not On Tobacco) program that has been adopted by the American Lung Association, and is used through out the US and Europe to help teens stop smoking.

Richard Vaughan, M.D. Richard Vaughan, M.D., interim Chair Department of Surgery, effective January 2007.

Dr. Vaughan has been a member of the University Health Associates Board for 12 years and served as the chair of the Board for the last three years.
David H. Wilks, M.D.

David H. Wilks, M.D., Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, effective March 2007.

Dr. Wilks served as the assistant dean at the University of New Mexico. He is a specialist in the use of simulation in the education of medical students and currently serves as assistant dean of Technology in Medical Education.

Alison Wilson, M.D.

Alison Wilson, M.D., Director of the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, effective March 2007.

Dr. Wilson joined the faculty in the Department of Surgery in 2002 and was appointed section chief of surgical critical care in 2006.

Michael Vernon, Ph.D.

Michael Vernon, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, effective June 2007.

Dr. Vernon joined the staff at WVU in 2002 where he began serving as the director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine where more than 300 births have occurred since his arrival.

Scot C. Remick, M.D.

Scot C. Remick, M.D., Director, Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center July 2007.

Dr. Remick came to WVU from Case Comprehensive Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio where he served as the associate director for Clinical Research.
