Philanthropy
By the Numbers

The WVU School of Medicine relies on the philanthropic support of our alumni and friends, as essential partners, to succeed in our mission to provide excellence in education, research, patient care, and service. Private gift support gives our students access to unparalleled learning opportunities, our physicians the necessary resources to provide exceptional care, and our researchers the tools to discover new ways to treat, cure, and prevent disease.

More than $8.8 million was contributed by alumni and friends to the WVU School of Medicine, including the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, in the period from July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.
