April 3, 2006
“Just a short time ago these students were set aside as “special” when they gained admission to the School of Medicine, and today, having proven they have “the stuff,” we are here to honor them,” said Dr. John T. Myles in his opening address to the Class of 2008 at the John W. Traubert White Coat Ceremony. Dr. Myles, a retired radiologist from Gloucester, Virginia, is a graduate of the class of 1953 and member of the School’s Alumni Association Executive Council. More than 600 family members and guests attended the Ceremony on Saturday, March 18, at Morgantown’s historic Metropolitan Theatre." More Info >

Ruby Memorial Expansion

Ruby Memorial Expansion
March 1 - 22, 2006
WVUH has expanding in an effort to better meet the needs of the men, women and children in north-central West Virginia and the surrounding region. The hospital is caring for more patients every year and needs additional space to deliver the services that its patients need.

The hospital's average daily census is 360, which is 58 patients higher than three years ago. The hospital will delay transfers on more than 60 days this year solely because of lack of clinical space. More Info >
