Since June 2005, MUSHROOM (Multidisciplinary UnSheltered Homeless Relief Outreach Of Morgantown) has been serving the medical and social needs of homeless clients in Morgantown. This program was conceived, developed, and continues to be directed by WVU School of Medicine students. Our volunteer base has grown to include community partners as well as interested individuals from a variety of disciplines at West Virginia University. MUSHROOM’s goal is to validate human dignity while at the same time providing compassionate care for the most marginalized in our community. More
