The giant replica of a human colon is the project of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which hopes to educate people about the highly treatable nature of colorectal cancer if diagnosed early. Regular screenings can not only detect the disease, but also prevent cancer from ever developing, because polyps can be removed before they become malignant. |
