MS in School Health Education Checklist

No more than 12 credit hours of WVU coursework taken prior to the MS admission may be counted toward the MS degree. No more than 9 semester hours of credit may be transferred to the MPH program from another institution. To be admitted to the MS program, applicants must meet admission requirements and be formally screened into the program. The Admissions Committee will need the following supporting material in order to screen prospective students. Applicants will not be reviewed until all materials listed below have been received.

  • West Virginia University Application for Graduate Admission must be completed and submitted with a nonrefundable check for $60.00. Send to WVU Office of Admissions and Records.
  • Complete an official MS Program Application Form. Send to Educational Programs Office.
  • Submit a copy of your Teaching Certificate. Send to Educational Programs Office.
  • Copy of CV/Resume. Send to Educational Programs Office.
  • Submit one-page typewritten/word processed statement addressing reasons for pursuing the MS degree and career objective. Send to Educational Programs Office.
  • Using forms obtained from the Educational Programs office, submit three references addressing potential for academic success and effectiveness in prior work performance. Send to Educational Programs Office.
  • Applicants must be skilled in the use of computers.
