Robert G. Astorg, CPA, is the Designated Settlement Fund Administrator and is employed by H & R Block Tax and Business Services in Parkersburg, WV. Mr. Astorg is a 1968 graduate of Marshall University and has been a CPA since 1970. He also serves as a director of United Bankshares, Inc. Mr. Astorg has performed and continues to perform tax and accounting services for small and medium-size businesses since 1970.

Arthur A. Maher, who holds the MHA degree from the University of Minnesota, is the President of Brookmar, Inc. He has served in various healthcare administration positions including human resources director, executive vice president, and 20 years as the CEO of a 350-bed hospital in Parkersburg, WV.

A. Paul Brooks, MD, is the Vice President of Brookmar, Inc. He received the MD degree from WVU in 1966. Dr. Brooks has practiced family medicine in Parkersburg for 20 years, and has served as chair and CEO of a statewide HMO and PPO.

Patsy Flensborg, BA, is the project manager for Brookmar, Inc. Ms. Flensborg is a graduate of a hospital-based nursing school, and received the BA degree from Glenville State College in 1985. She has practiced nursing for 15 years, including supervisory duties at a 300-bed hospital. Ms. Flensborg’s management experience includes quality assurance/risk management and business management for a large physicians’ practice.

Susan Arnold, who received the MPA degree from Ohio State University, is the records manager for Brookmar, Inc. Her management experience includes 20 years in all facets of health-information management. She has also served as the compliance officer in a large for-profit hospital.

Troy D. Young is a 1992 graduate of the National Institute of Technology (Cross Lanes, WV), and holds an Associate of Arts degree in electronic engineering technology. During the 15 years that Mr. Young has worked in information technology, he has held certifications from Microsoft, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, and Citrix Systems. He has extensive training and experience in internet connectivity and standards, network security, database management and design, email communications, and the design, installation, and support of network infrastructures. Since 1998, Mr. Young has focused primarily on accounting systems, document imaging, and electronic health records. |

Richard A. Hudson, JD, CPA, is the legal counsel for Brookmar, Inc. He is a partner with Bowles Rice McDavid Graff and Love LLP, Mr. Hudson received the BA degree from Bethany College and the JD degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the American Health Lawyers Association. He represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue, and the United States Tax Court. |
