MS in School Health Education: Course of Study

For admission to this program, one must be in possession of a teaching certificate for their state of residence. The program is designed for those who do not have health teaching certification or those who do and wish to obtain a graduate degree in this area.

  • Management for Community/Public Health
  • Community Health Assessment and Evaluation
  • Health Concepts
  • Performance Assessment
Admission Requirements:
  • Graduate application to WVU, and fee
  • Master of Science in School Health Education application
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • One-page typed essay expressing your interest in the program
  • Resume/curriculum vitae
  • Copy of teaching certificate
Course Schedule:

Two courses per semester, with three one-week intensive summer sessions.  This program can be completed in two calendar years on a part-time basis.

Courses will be offered via internet, Interactive Video Network (IViN), and live classroom (centrally based in the state).
