Ian Rockett, PhD, MPH

Ian Rockett is Professor, Associate Chair, and Director of Educational Programs in the Department of Community Medicine. He holds an MPH in Epidemiology from Harvard University and a PhD in Demography/Medical Sociology from Brown University. Prior to joining WVU, Dr. Rockett served as Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Bureau of Evaluation, Research, and Service at the University of Tennessee. He teaches epidemiology, and his research interests include the epidemiology of injury and substance abuse, suicide misclassification, life table applications, and the history of public health.
