Jeffrey Coben, MD

Dr. Coben is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a combined residency program in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine at Northwestern University Medical Center. He is a Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Community Medicine at WVU, serves as Director of the Center for Rural Emergency Medicine, and Scientific Director for the Injury Control Research Center.

Dr. Coben’s research utilizes public health and health services research methods to examine topics relevant to emergency medicine and trauma prevention. Major areas of concentration include intimate partner violence and transportation-related injuries.
