Department of Community Medicine Dr. Horn is an educational psychologist, receiving her doctorate from West Virginia University. She obtained an undergraduate degree in psychology from University of North Carolina in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Horn has extensive experience in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug intervention studies and evaluation research. Her research focus in on tailoring programs to meet the needs of high-risk children and adolescents. Dr. Horn recently co-developed a nationally recognized teen smoking cessation called Not On Tobacco (N-O-T) which has received national and international recognition. The program was adopted by the American Lung Association. Her teaching interests include program evaluation, research design, grant writing, and school- and community-based intervention. |
