Michael Hendryx, PhD

Dr. Michael Hendryx is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, West Virginia University.  He is also Associate Director, and Research Director, for the University’s Institute for Health Policy Research.  Michael earned his PhD in Psychology from Northwestern University in 1986, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Methodology at the University of Chicago.  He previously served on the faculty at the University of Iowa, and at Washington State University.  His research interests focus on public mental health services, community and health, and other health services research topics.  He has published approximately 70 peer reviewed articles and book chapters.  Michael teaches the Health Policy course in the MPH program.
