Priscah Mujuru, Dr.PH., COHN-S.
 Dr. Priscah Mujuru is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine. She has a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Public Health from Boston University. Dr. Mujuru has a B.Sc. in Occupational Hygiene from the University of the South Bank, London, England, and a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences from West Virginia University. She is a licensed Registered Nurse in WV and by the UKCC and a Board Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She is also certified in Occupational Hearing Conservation by the CAOHC and has certification in Spirometry from NIOSH.
Dr. Mujuru was a key member of the team that researched and developed the first accredited West Virginia University Masters in Public Health Program. Dr. Mujuru teaches Introduction to Public Health Epidemiology and Advanced Epidemiology in the Public Health Program.
Dr. Mujuru’s research goals are to apply epidemiological principles and techniques to understand the relationship between environmental exposures and disease outcome; to develop and validate measures to assess environmental and occupational disease in diverse populations; to address occupational issues that focuses on special populations such as children and the elderly. Dr Mujuru collaborates on research projects aimed at addressing health disparities in underserved populations. She recently presented at a Directors' Meeting for NIH/NCRR-SEPA in St. Louis on February, 2004 addressing issues of reaching out to disadvantaged and underserved communities.
