R. Turner Goins, PhD

Dr. Goins is Center on Aging faculty who has her MS and PhD in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts - Boston. Dr. Goins was a National Institute of Aging post doctoral fellow at Duke University Medical School's Center for the Study of Aging and Human Development. The primary research interests of Dr. Goins include health-related quality of life among rural elderly. Dr. Goins teaches the undergraduate field placement course for the Certificate in Gerontology and a graduate course on social and health issues of rural aging.
