April 21, 2006: In the March edition of The Center, Dr. D'Alessandri addresses the importance of recognizing excellence in teaching. His example is CMED's own Dr. Ruth Kershner!
April 20, 2006: The Dominion Post covers the "Mile of Change for Children" event. Cortney Bloomer (an MPH student) is pictured, and Janine Dzuba (an MPH student and the organizer of the event) is quoted.
April 18, 2006: Janine Dzuba, a graduate student in public health, plans to stretch
5,280 feet of masking tape along sidewalks across campus tomorrow, Wednesday April 19.
The mile of tape will end at the Monongalia County Courthouse. She's
asking residents to place pennies and other change on the tape. All money will go toward the Rx for Survival, a national campaign to

April 5, 2006: AIDS research pioneer Dr. James W. Curran visited WVU yesterday in the first Health Sciences Center Grand Rounds. Dr. Curran's presentation was featured in today's Dominion Post, and his meeting with our students was mentioned. Dr. Rachel Abraham arranged for his visit.
April 3, 2006: Two CMED faculty members have been named in The Dominion Post's "100 Most Influential People." Congratulations to Toni Morris (#91) and Dr. Bill Reger-Nash (#73)! |
