April 28: In a letter to the editor of the Dominion Post, MD/MPH student Jared Pomeroy wrote a well reasoned and compelling analysis of the Bar and Video Lottery owners' approach to Public Health clean air regulation.

April 28: The PRC and T2R2 have partnered with Mon County Tobacco Prevention Partnership and Smoke Free Mon County in support of a proposed regulation that bans indoor smoking in public places in Monongalia County.

April 28: The Center on Aging is partnering with AT&T to determine Internet needs and issues of older West Virginians.

April 23: The American Journal of Men's Health recently accepted an article for publication entitled "Gender and Time Differences in the Associations Between Sexual Violence Victimization, Health Outcomes, and Risk Behaviors," which was written by PhD student Ekta Choudhary, MS, MPH, Jeffrey H. April 22: At this year's Dean's Awards for Excellence celebration, Dr. Ruth Kershner was an unprecedented double-award winner: She won the Award for Excellence in Service to the Community, and the Distinguished Teacher Award for the Professional Degree Program, Senior Level.

April 21: Congratulations to Dr. Alan Ducatman, who was just named in the Dominion Post's "100 Most Influential" series!

April 17: The Dominion Post published Toni Morris' letter to the editor regarding the proposed Monongalia County smoking ban.

April 16: The Cancer Center's T2R2 project, led by Dr. Kim Horn, is highlighted on the School of Medicine's home page. Look for the "Breathe and Be Tobacco Free" logo.

April 15: Dr. Kimberly Williams was recently awarded one of eight mini-grants from the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.

April 7: The Lancaster Eagle-Gazette has published an article that appeared in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Delaware newspapers, about a contaminant called "C8" which is present in over 65,000 residents on both sides of the Ohio River, near Parkersburg. April 7: The Dominion Post has published two letters to the editor regarding secondhand smoke, written by CMED staff members Leesa Prendergast and Alex Lubman.
