July 28, 2005: In
today's Mountaineer Spirit (the WVU newsletter), Rachel Gainor (of the
Office of Health Services Research) and her "Families First" grant work with
Rock Forge Neighborhood House are featured on page 1. Rachel Gainor led
the effort to secure a grant for workshops on nutrition and cost-effective
shopping.
July 22, 2005: Congratulations to Dr. Ruth Kershner, who was
recently appointed as the School of Medicine's representative on the executive
committee of the faculty senate. The faculty senate meets with the
provost.
July 19, 2005:
WVU News and Information Services has released a story about community service
by Rachel Gainor and the Office of Health Services Research. There is a
lot of evidence that the work products of faculty (and students!) are

July 6, 2005: CMED's newly-created Certificate in Women's Health
was announced in the newsletter of the Center of Excellence in Women's Health.
Ruth Kershner wrote the article, noting the collaboration of
the Center of Excellence, CMED, the Center on Aging, The Eberly College of Arts
and Sciences, and the Division of Public Administration.
