Mary Swim BA Applications Programmer; CIS Support |

Ms. Swim is a computer programmer with additional skills in user support and technical writing, and has been with OHSR since 1995. She has a BA in English from West Virginia University, and has also completed over 40 hours of Master's level coursework in Computer Science and 20 hours of coursework in the Technology Education Ed.D. program at WVU. She has extensive experience in using the SAS programming language on mainframe computers to analyze large datasets such as the Medicaid transaction files and HCCRA hospital discharge data. She currently provides Microsoft Access programming and design support in the fulfillment of requests for WV Physician Licensure data, and for the CDEMS (Chronic Disease Electronic Management) electronic patient registry, and is working on updating the OHSR webpage. In addition, she provides consulting to OHSR on SAS, and on PC software including spreadsheets, databases and word processors.
