As Chronic Disease Coordinator, Nell brings 12 years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian and 7 years as a Certified Diabetes Educator. Nell received a BFA from Marshall University in 1989 and a Masters of Science in Nutrition from Tufts University in Boston in 1995. Nell is currently president-elect of the West Virginia Association of Diabetes Educators. She recently authored an article on "The Chronic Complications of Diabetes" in On The Cutting Edge, the peer-reviewed journal of the Diabetes Care and Education practice group of the American Dietetic Association. She also enjoys co-chairing the annual “Bridging the Gap with Education, Diabetes Symposium and Workshop” sponsored by WVU Extension Service.
