MPH Practicum Outcomes
The practicum represents the MPH culminating experience and has three main outcomes.
- To provide students with the opportunity to apply and synthesize the knowledge and skills gained from the MPH program to a practicum which entails a formal proposal and leads to a final report and presentation.
- To provide students with a practical and applied theoretical public health professional experience in the public, private and/or academic realm.
- To provide faculty with the opportunity to evaluate: (a) student success in achieving the program learning objectives; and (b) student understanding of the public health core discipline and interdisciplinary (cross-cutting) competencies as detailed by the Association for Schools of Public Health (ASPH Version 2.3).
