The library is now officially open and has wireless internet thoughout the facility.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-12pm;
Friday 8am-8pm; Saturday 10am-6pm; and Sunday from 1pm-11pm.
Left of the entrance there are 55 computer work stations
Right of the entrance there are 25 study stations with an outlet and internet cable
Eight study rooms are available to be reserved from 7am-7pm by calling 293-6810
First floor:
Hours: 24 hours a day seven days a week
10 study rooms are available to be reserved from 7am-7pm by calling 293-1933 also available from 7pm-7am but it is first come first serve during those hours
The rest of the first floor should be finished sometime this semester

The first SAFE Clinic will be held Wednesday, February 14 at 5:00pm. Subsequent clinics will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. These clinics are an opportunity for medical students to receive more practice with their patient skills. Construction Update:
If you are walking between from the HSC to the Emergency Department, POC, Eye Institute or parking garage you will have to use an alternate route, either around the Cancer Center construction project or through the hospital. Community Service Opportunity :
There is an opportunity to gain some community service hours and help the environment.

 Dr. Jim Helmkamp, PhD, MS, FACE has been appointed to the Editorial Board on Injury Prevention for the next three years. He will also be serving a second (two year) term as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Society to Advance Violence and Injury Research.

Camtasia Update:
We are now recording lectures for six of our MS I & II courses. Students can revisit lectures in the following formats:
PowerPoint - source file available for download.
Camtasia Flash - flash movie which integrates the instructors’ interactions with the screen. The voiceover is captured from a wireless microphone. Students have the ability to select any part of the lecture, via navigation links to the left. They can also scroll forward or back to repeat sections.
MP3 - downloadable audio file of the lecture.
SOLEcasts - gives students the ability to listen to the audio via a browser.
