Chair Announced

Todd J. Crocco, MD, has been named chair of West Virginia University's Department of Emergency Medicine, in the WVU School of Medicine.

Dr. Crocco earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995, and completed a residency in emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati/University Hospital in 1999. He joined the WVU faculty in 2001.

Crocco's special interests include stroke and problems of the heart and cardiovascular system. He is a three-time recipient of the Department of Emergency Medicine Faculty of the Year Award, and the 2002 recipient of the WVU School of Medicine Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award.
