| Division of Exercise Physiology Aquatic Therapy The Division of Exercise Physiology of West Virginia University offers a special emphasis area in aquatic therapy, which is available to both graduates and undergraduates. Aquatic therapy is a rapidly developing health profession with increasing job opportunities. The emphasis area curriculum is a total of 15 credit hours:

Aquatic Therapy is a rapidly developing health profession. It is an area presently staffed by Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists. West Virginia University is the ONLY University in the United States to offer a comprehensive curriculum to prepare students to sit for the Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation exam, the national certifying exam for the Aquatic Therapists. The curriculum provides many opportunities for a variety of aquatic certifications that prospective employers value and seek out in their employees.
