1: When did you realize you wanted to be an ophthalmologist?
In my second year of medical school I had an exam done by an ophthalmologist who was very enthusiastic about his field. After discussing different aspects of his career I felt it would be a good fit.
2: What was it about Morgantown, WV that was of interest to you when deciding on programs to begin your residency in?
I like the atmosphere of college towns. Also, the facility had cutting edge technology and outstanding surgical numbers.
3: What your favorite part of the program as you recently completed your first year of residency.
I enjoyed many different aspects of the program from working in the clinic, examining patients, and learning from faculty.
4. If you were not studying to be an ophthalmologist what other field would be of interest to you?
If I was not practicing medicine I could picture myself as a high school math or science teacher.
5. What are some of your goals? One of my most important goals is to have a well balanced life.
In the future I hope to be a skilled ophthalmologist and loving father. |
