Cristoforo R. Larzo, M.D. is an assistant professor at the West Virginia University Eye Institute who specializes in vitreoretinal disease and surgery.
He joined the faculty in July 2006 and is board certified in ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree and completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at WVU. Dr. Larzo studied vitreoretinal disease under the mentorship of Drs. Lionel Chisholm, MD and Monique J. Leys, MD at the West Virginia University Eye Institute. His special interests include retinopathy of prematurity, ocular infections and inflammation, surgical and medical treatment of diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration as well as complicated cataract surgery and ocular trauma.
