Physician Profiles
Terry L. Schwartz, M.D. is the Director of
Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus as well as consulting ophthalmologist to the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. She is the co-founder and Director of the Children's Vision Rehabilitation Project which provides evaluation and rehabilitation for visually impaired school-aged children throughout West Virginia.
Dr. Schwartz joined the faculty at West Virginia University in 1989 after completing a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus with Drs. William Scott, MD, Frank Judisch, MD, and Ronald Keech, MD at University of Iowa in Iowa City. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at West Virginia University following an internship in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh as well as a two year post-graduate training program in vision research at University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests include the development of visual function and rehabilitation in the visually impaired child.
