Behavioral Medicine Consults
| General: |
Hospital based exposure to psychiatry can be expected while on the psychiatry consult and liaison service. Consults are fielded from Ruby Memorial Hospital and Monongalia General Hospital . While under the direction of a staff psychiatrist and a psychology nurse, management of alcohol withdrawal, acute psychosis and ICU delirium are frequently encountered. Skills are refined in dealing with inclusion criteria and treatment according to the DSM-IV guide. |
