Emergency Medicine
| General: |
Emergency medicine is a busy, but high-yield, learning experience for family medicine interns. The hours are scheduled as 10 to 12 hour shifts, about 18 to 22 total during the month. Exposure to patient problems is extremely varied, with excellent opportunities for procedures. |
| Other Learners: |
Emergency medicine residents, physician assistants, on-and off-service interns and medical students staff the WVU Emergency Department. |
| Supervision: |
Supervision is done on a one-on-one basis with faculty attendings as preceptors. |
