Pediatric Wards - Community

This month of pediatrics is intended to familiarize the resident with the community practice of pediatrics. The resident is assigned to a community physician who is trained in internal medicine and pediatrics and works with a local family physician group. Both the ambulatory and hospital setting are involved, and the resident takes call with this community physician. This is a valuable rotation, particularly since children hospitalized in the community hospital setting may be present with different problems than a university children's service encounters. |
