Visitng Clinician Criteria
- Physicians must be board certified in their specialty.
- A candidate for the program can place their request with the Department Chair for that specialty or the Visiting Clinician Coordinator.
- An invitation to become a Visiting Clinician must be approved by the Chair of the Department and the invitation extended by the Chair or Visiting Clinician Coordinator.
- The Visiting Clinician should have an interest in medical education, i.e., presenting conferences or lectures, teaching students and residents in WVU clinics, and be willing to precept students in an off-site clinical rotation.
- The Visiting Clinician should agree to visit the Health Sciences Center not less than four visits per year.
Today, 94 clinicians representing 36 of West Virginia's 55 counties are participating in the program. Clinician Specialties include:

- OB/Gyn - 1
