The Department of Neurology provides specialized expertise in the areas of neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, child neurology, clinical neurophysiology, neurorehabilitation, neuropsychiatry, behavioral neurology, movement disorders, neuro oncology and neuropathology.

The clinical campus at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center is a state-of-the-art health care facility. It consists of a 376 bed, Level I trauma center and tertiary referral hospital, the University Children's Hospital, the Chestnut Ridge Psychiatric Hospital, the Mountainview Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Physician's Office Center, forming an integrated, comprehensive training site. The hospital is currently undergoing construction to add 80 beds and 5 operating rooms.

The faculty is dedicated to the success of each resident. Both resident and faculty evaluations are collected on a monthly basis to ensure we continue to provide the highest possible quality of instruction and to monitor progress for each trainee.
